need a new car - at oktober. i’m looking for a van, and i think i have found it.
ok, i never wanted to drive a opel (GM) - but…..
150 ps diesel, 6-gear-automatic, panorama roof, navigation system with colour monitor, mp3 soundsystem, 7 seats (2 fold-out-seats), leather interieur, bluetooth telephone and lots, lots, lots of little storagespaces, where your can search your sunglasses for hours, hehe.
and this 100 Euro’s less than my actual car (leasing).
i think i could try a opel for 3 years, eh?
29. March 2006
today - about lunchtime - we had a prenumbral solar eclipse.
1999 we had a total eclipse - and a total cloudy day. sigh.
and today… you see the bannerpic.
1999 we bought eclipse-eyeglasses, filter for the cam and so on.
we were driving out of the town, in the nature, on a lake - just 4 kilometers from our home. Right at the time of the eclipse we were staying in a heavy rainstorm. the rest of the family was watching the eclipse at home, on a perfect, cloudless sky. best view at the corona of the eclipse.
next total eclipse in south germany will be 3. september 2081.
i then will be 111 years old - better luck next time, eh?
p.s.: banners are complete at flickr.

i was looking for a possibility to show my recent blog-banners. cee’s site brought me on the way.
ha! fine. it’s really the easyest way to show them (if someone want’s to see them).
only have to carry togheter them from different computers. in a few days there complete.
anything else? yes - it’s raining, sigh.
Daniels fever is almost gone. it really was a growth spurt. 1,5 cm.
Now he’s running with his brother through the muddy garden.
kids are tough.
27. March 2006
punctually on the first really warm days our small one, daniel, gets temperature.
will see why. maybee a growth spurt or a reaction at his new asthma medicament, sigh.
however, everybody needs to stock up on some sunshine.
today heike decorated our apple tree with coloured plastic easter eggs
(a very small apple tree).
every bee hereabout is now sitting on our tree.
24. March 2006
today’s my wifes birthday. she’s gettin ..25..?!
no. she has the right age. she’s perfect - and i love her.
do you read my blog, heike? i love you.
ha! blush. nothing else to say….hehe

i was just visiting the website of our local fire department. sometimes it’s necessary to inform about the local affairs. it’s frightening! the efforts of the firemen are nearly exclusively to save dead birds, swans and ducks. every bird, that plitches on a cars windshield is a potential avian influenza candidate.
yesterday i escaped a assassination by the skin of my teeth.
a bird pooh on my car.

tomorrow i have definitely my “no internet” appointment. brrrrr. no way out.
if i’m getting sick again, then it’s Freud. Sigi - alter Schwede!
today i capitulated before apple computer. i was about 45 min. on support hotline
(you see, if i call apple support then the shit hits the van - it’s no fun… apple support)
this is a short abstract of my today telephone call.
support: “welcome at apple support hotline, my name is Jane Doe.
what can i do for your?”
me: “hi miss, could you please tell me, why i can connect on a updated 10.4.5 System
to our server via “afp”? (apple file protocol). apple said, there is no more afp in Tiger.
support: “sorry sir, we do not longer support afp in Tiger ”
me: “yes, i know miss. that’s why i call you. however - this actual tiger here let me connect via afp. i only want to know why. the mac on the next table, same system, does not. and that’s my problem.
support: “sorry, but we don’t support afp in system 10.4.5. apple stoped afp in Tiger. sorry sir.”
me: “miss, it’s running. here. in front of me. the system is just updated with your selfrunning software update. to the last, newest version of your system - here, wait… about this mac Mac OS X, Version 10.4.5. and afp is still running.
support: “could you please give me your complete address and the mac serial number, please?”
me: “sure, no problem, wait a moment…. company…blablabla….”
support: “thank you, just a moment”
music, about 5 minutes
support: “sir?”
me: “ahem, yes…here”
support: “thank your for your patience, just a further moment please”
music, again about 5 minutes.
support: “sir?”
me: “miss?”
support: “thank your for your patience. i asked my supervisor about your problem.”
me: “oh, fine. thank you very much…..and?”
support: “apple doesn’t support afp since OS X 10.4.0″
Sigi?
New week - i’m crawling back in life.
3 days of monster-headache-laydown are enough.
what i need to do:
1) warm weather, sun, minimum 18° C (65°F)
2) a good book, some latte macchiato, 10 hours calmness a day
4) a new bar for our regulars table (suddenly closed)
3) understanding customers
what i must do:
1) driving 2 days in row to munich (75 Km one way), about 8 hours/day Mac-Support.
2) 2 further appointments for support this week currently don’t know when
3) masses of other work waiting in office
4) finding time for a final visit at my doc.
perfect convalescence - ah, these days, i was a employee….. sigh*
17. March 2006
sorry….quiet here. i’m sick. visited the doc in the morning and have now some antibiotics.
getting better - slowly.
nice picture, hehe
